Infinix, a leading tech brand for young consumers, held its largest CogLabs workshop at the University of Nairobi, engaging over 200 students.
Themed "Get in Now," the event was part of a collaboration with UNESCO and Google aimed at making AI and robotics education accessible to African youth.
The CogLabs project empowers students with hands-on experience in building and programming robots, using 3D-printed parts and repurposed smartphones, to spark creativity and equip them with essential skills in AI and machine learning.
The new CogLabs mobile app, which aims to make learning AI and programming more accessible, even without a laptop.
Infinix's CogLabs project, starting from Kenya, will expand across Africa, offering workshops that blend 3D printing, robotics, and basic programming, empowering the continent's youth to explore advanced technologies.
