Rather than having a huge menu, this one is easy to wrap your head around and we were quickly able to make our selections. Once we ordered, we were brought our drinks and roasted red and yellow pepper bruschetta which was drizzled in chili oil. Delicious.
Our appetizers of Caprese salad and Malanzane alla Parmigiana (eggplant with Parmesan cheese) followed soon after. The salad was simple and tasty and the eggplant was divine, tender, melt-in-your mouth goodness, cooked to perfection.
Most of us had pasta for the main course. The kids and I tried the spinach and ricotta ravioli in butter and sage sauce. We all found it a bit bland because it was cooked in un-salted butter so didn't brown nicely. The others in our group had the Affettati Misti (Parma ham, speck, salame Milano) platter and the Carpaccio di Manzo (thinly sliced beef with rocket and parmesan), which they enjoyed.
Finally, we sampled the desserts, chocolate mousse and Affogato al caffe, both of which were smooth, creamy and not too sweet; just the way we love them.
Appetizers range in price from Ksh 850 for the avocado and prawns cocktail to Ksh 1,650 for the Affettati Misti. Pasta dishes are from Ksh 900 for pasta in tomato sauce, to Ksh 1,450 for Pappardelle smoked salmon. Main courses range from Ksh 1,450 for mushrooms chicken breast, to Ksh 2,550 for grilled shrimp. And the desserts are from Ksh 550 to 600.
