Leonardo married Alma after Angela broke up with him but he is already contemplating ending their marriage. Problems between them started during their honeymoon when Leonardo accidently called out Angela's name when they were getting intimate. Alma took offense but Leonardo said that he would try to forget Angela so that they can have a happy marriage.

When they returned home, Leonardo tried to put some distance between him and Angela even though they worked together. This however failed when he found out that Angela was planning to return to her hometown with her mother. He went after her and forced her to reveal what she had tried to tell him before his wedding. Angela finally confessed that she only broke up with him because Alma threatened her. Alma said she would only help Leonardo out of the criminal situation he was involved in if Angela broke up with him.

Angela and Leonardo confronted Alma together but she completely denied the allegations. She reasons that Leonardo should believe her instead of Angela because she is his wife. However, Leonardo seems to have found a reason to end his marriage with Alma. He said that he needed more time to find out the truth about Angela's allegations.
