Angela recently found out that she was expecting Alvaro's child and not many have been happy about it. Leonardo felt that she betrayed him because he thought that she still had a relationship with Alvaro so they broke up. Meanwhile,  Alvaro was overjoyed because he now has a reason to keep in contact with Angela. He has just renewed his wedding vows to Samantha but he does not care about that.

Samantha is the most affected by Angela's pregnancy because she knows Alvaro will not stay away from her. She therefore tried to make Angela lose the baby.  She paid a nurse to inject Angela with the wrong drug during a routine medical test and offered him a promotion if he did it. The nurse carried out the procedure successfully and moved to another hospital just like Samantha had instructed.

Angela collapsed when the medicine took effect but luckily, she was at the hospital with Leonardo.  Leonardo, an excellent doctor, managed to control the internal bleeding until Angela's gynecologist arrived.  The doctor helped save the child and ordered Angela to rest as her pregnancy was now risky.

Samantha was furious when she found out that Angela did not lose the baby. One of her colleagues found out because of the tantrum Samantha threw at the office and sent a secret note to Leonardo, saying that someone tried to get rid of Angela's baby. Will Leonardo find out that Samantha is behind the plot?
