Angela is expecting Alvaro's baby! While this may be good news, it presents another challenge that she will have to overcome. When she met Alvaro, she fell head over heels for him and the two immediately got married. Unfortunately, the marriage soon ended when Angela found out that Alvaro had married somebody else. She sued him for bigamy and got a divorce. Alvaro decided to stay with his second wife, Samantha, because he needed her money.
Angela soon started another relationship with Leonardo, who had always taken care of her when Alvaro abandoned her. He helped her get a scholarship at the university to become a doctor and even hired her as a nurse so that she could earn some money. Unfortunately, Alvaro would not let them be and constantly disrupted their relationship. Leonardo misunderstood the situation and ended things with Angela.
When Angela started her new job at the hospital, she suddenly fainted and had to be admitted. Leonardo was the attending doctor and was the first to find out that she is pregnant. He was furious because he knows the child is Alvaro's and this will give them another reason to get involved in Angela's life. In the meantime, Alvaro is planning to renew his wedding vows with Samantha but he still does not know that Angela is expecting his child.
