Angela went to Mexico to stay with Alvaro after her grandmother died. She hoped that with his support, she would be able to recover from the tragedy and move on with her life happily since they were married. She was quite disappointed because Alvaro arrived at the bus station late in the night and she almost got robbed. He then took her to spend the night in a hostel, claiming that he was working on their house. Alvaro was not there to take care of Angela, giving his demanding work as an excuse. He is however dating Samantha; an heiress whom he hopes will help him climb up the social ladder. With Alvaro gone, Angela decided to find a school where she could finish her degree and become a doctor. When she went to the university, she met Leonardo, who works as a professor at the hospital. Angela was surprised to find out that she could not afford the fees so Leonardo offered to help her get a scholarship. She ended up falling asleep at his house while studying for the entrance exam. When she arrived home in the morning, Alvaro was waiting for her and was furious that she did not spend the night at home. Angela tried to explain herself but Alvaro accused her of cheating. They ended up in a huge fight because Angela did not feel as if Alvaro was taking care of her like he had promised when they got married. How will their marriage continue from now on?
