CFAO Motors Kenya, a leading distributor of goods and services in Africa, has taken over the business assets of DT Dobie as of April 1, 2023. The two strong and respected automotive companies have now merged to become one entity under the name CFAO Motors Kenya Limited.
The new entity will be managed by Mr. Arvinder Reel as Managing Director, who will divide operations into three main divisions. The Toyota & Yamaha Division will be led by Mr. Joshua Anya, responsible for overseeing all Toyota business, Automark pre-owned vehicles, and Yamaha 2-wheel division, including a new state-of-the-art body and paint shop. The Multi-Brand and Equipment Division will be headed by Mr. Chris Ndala, responsible for overseeing multi-brand passenger car makes including Volkswagen, Suzuki, and Mercedes Benz Passenger cars, as well as truck and bus business with Hino, Hyundai, Mercedes Benz, and Sinotruk (HOWO). The WINPART & AUTOFAST Division will be headed by Mr. Abderrahmane Mairi, responsible for overseeing the Value Parts as well as AUTOFAST quick service stations in partnership with TOTAL Energies.
The consolidation of the back-office support teams such as finance, corporate support, Human Resources, and customer relations aims to increase efficiency and provide excellent service to customers and stakeholders.
Managing Director Arvinder Reel emphasized that CFAO Motors Kenya serves a wide range of customers as preferred partners for mobility solutions in Kenya. He further added that the new business positioning greatly enhances the company's automotive value proposition in the market, offering the largest portfolio of mobility solutions and the largest aftersales service network in the country.
Furthermore, CFAO Motors Kenya has expanded its local assembly offering by combining the assembly of various vehicles at Associated Vehicle Assembly (AVA) in Mombasa and Kenya Vehicle Manufacturers (KVM) in Thika, Kiambu County.
The merger of CFAO Motors Kenya and DT Dobie has resulted in the largest dealer network in the country, with 36 branches, dealerships, and authorized service centers.
