- He was the youngest of 8 siblings and the only one to get a full formal education.

On Friday 22nd April, Kenya's 3rd President Emilio Stanley Mwai Kibaki passed away at age 90. He had a complicated legacy but will forever be remembered as Kenya's first president to ascend to power on a non Kenya African National Union (KANU) ticket. KANU is a Kenyan political party that ruled for nearly 40 years after Kenya's independence from British colonial rule in 1963 until its electoral loss in 2002.
