Turning 13 can be tough! Pixar's latest re-release, Turning Red, explores the challenges of entering the teen years in a child-friendly manner. The story follows Mei Lee, a 13-year-old A-student, as she navigates friendships and family dynamics, particularly with her demanding yet well-meaning mother.
Mei discovers that her emotions can transform her into a red panda, adding to the complexities of adolescence. The film depicts Mei's journey to control her inner panda and navigate life as a teenager. It's a wholesome family movie with great lessons and beautiful animation, reminiscent of Pixar's 2015 film Inside Out.
