The Kashmir Files, is a Hindu political thriller that follows the story of university student Krishna who discovers his Kashmiri Hindu parents were killed by Islamist militants - and not in an accident as his grandfather Pushkar told him.
The plot frequently switches between the contemporary period (2021) and flashbacks to 1989-1990 throughout the film.
Krishna is a student of a professor who believes in the 'Kashmir Cause' and that Indian Muslims are being persecuted. This new information has Krishna questioning his entire existence and what he has believed throughout his life.
