Five Kenyan high school students will represent the country at the 65th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).
The participants are Cynthia Kathomi Mworia (Kenya High School), Gilbert Ongoro (Alliance High School), Tony Rotich Odhiambo (Light Academy Nairobi), Alfred Githui Muriu (Nairobi School), and Lenny Muriungi Mutuma (Oloolaiser High School, Kajiado County).
The IMO will be held from July 16th to July 22nd 2024 at the University of Bath, UK, with participants from over 100 countries.
These students were selected from 8,000 participants in the 2024 Kenya Mathematics Olympiad, organized by CEMASTEA in collaboration with the University of Nairobi and the University of Waterloo. We wish them all the best!
