Larry Madowo was named as one of the fellows in the 2019-2020 Knight Bagehot Fellowship Program in Business and Commerce by University of Columbia's Journalism School.
The fellowship is awarded to mid-career journalists and provides them with full tuition fees and a living stipend of 60,000USD (approximately Ksh. 6 million).
Larry Madowo, a former NTV News Anchor and host of the TV show, The Trend, now leads a team of journalists at BBC Africa as the Business Editor. He is also a regular contributor for the Washington Post's Global Opinions page, CNN Africa and Forbes.
The Knight Bagehot Fellowship accommodates a total of ten fellows each year.
