Teleniovela stars, Gabriel Soto and Irina Baeva are postponing their wedding. The couple got engaged in 2020 during the wake of the pandemic and waited for things to get better so that they could finally get married. The big day was set for 2022 but things have not gone as planned.

On an interview with Hola Mexico, the couple explained that Irina Baeva's family, who are from Russia, could not travel due to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. "We are excited about the wedding. We continue with the preparations and the only thing that has stopped us a bit is, unfortunately, the whole issue that is happening between Russia and Ukraine", said Gabriel Soto.

Meanwhile, Irina admitted that she wanted to be with her family on her wedding day, saying; "We are talking about 7 people. We are discussing alternatives, to see how we can do it, but we do not want to do that ceremony without my family."
The couple still hopes to have the wedding before the year comes to an ends, with Gabriel Soto saying he would consider having the wedding in Russia in order to marry the woman he loves.
