Cabo is a Televisa production from 2022, starring Matias Novoa and Barbara de Regil with Diego Amozurrutia as the main protagonist. The show is an adaptation of Love Spell (Sortilegio), produced by Jose Alberto Castro.
The show follows the story of Alejandro, a handsome and successful entrepreneur. He heads Grupo Alva, a family company that includes tourism, financial services, construction and fishing companies. He lives with his family in Los Cabos, which includes his sister, Vanessa, his step brother, Eduardo, his stepmother, Lucia.
Eduardo is bitter and jealous of Alejandro's success. He therefore makes a plan to take over the company. Using Alejandro's name, he marries Sofia, an honest and simple woman who lives with her sister Rebecca, and their father Poncho, an alcoholic who is a car parts thief. Eduardo then plots an attempt on Alejandro's life to be carried out on the day of their wedding, so that Sofia will be "widowed" and he can take control of all the companies. To achieve his purpose, Eduardo blackmails Sofia and demands her to do everything he asks of her, or else he will put Poncho in jail, as the evidence of Alejandro's assassination seem to incriminate Sofia's father.
To everyone's surprise, Alejandro survives the attack. Eduardo pushes Sofia to make Alejandro believe that they got married but he has forgotten because of the memory loss he suffers due to the accident. Aiming to discover the truth, Alejandro continues his "marriage" with Sofia, not imagining that he will end up falling in love with her. Thus, Alejandro and Eduardo will confront each other not only for Grupo Alva, but also for Sofia's love. Who will win in the end?
