Camila Valero and Brandon Peniche are set to star in the new remake of Jane The Virgin for Televisa. The original series, Juana la Virgen , was a Venezuelan telenovela starring Daniela Alvarado and Ricardo Álamo from 2002. The American version starring Gina Rodriguez was released in 2014. Titled "La Historia de Juana", the show will follow the story of a charming young woman who accidentally becomes pregnant through an artificial insemination process. The lead actress, Camila Valero shared her thoughts on being cast as the main lead in the project. "There is always some nerves about starting a project and even more so when they are actors with so much experience, but I think it is a matter of finding the place and luckily I have already had a few projects. I think that if this had been my first project In life I would be dying, but at least I feel a little more comfortable now…" Joining the lead cast as the main antagonist is Russian actress, Irina Baeva.  She also shared a few details about her character. "I get to play the antagonist. She is the wife of the protagonist in this story and she is a character who lives in a bubble and believes that her life is perfect and she cares a lot about her life being perfect, on the outside obviously she is, which she shows a lot because she cares a lot about how people see her and perceive her..." The rest of the supporting cast will include Fabiola Guajardo, Cynthia Klitbo , Grettel Valdez, Alexis Ayala and Mario Moran, among others
