"We Cut Keys 2" marks the third studio project from Kenyan Producer/Artist and DJ Blinky Bill. Crafted mainly in Nairobi during the initial stages of the pandemic, the album maintains the exploratory and experimental essence of Blinky Bill's previous works, blending traditional tribal drum sounds with electronic music, hip hop, and jazz.
Featuring notable collaborations with artists like Fuse ODG, GoldLink, Shauna Fung Yee, Maji Maji, Jovie Jovv, Owuor Arunga, Idd Aziz, Muthoni The Drummer Queen, and Lisa Oduor Noah, among others, the album showcases a diverse range of talents.
The opening track, "Dracula," serves as a compelling call for global unity and standing up for one's rights. Contrasting with his previous project, "Everyone's Just Winging It & Other Fly Tales," the single "Get The Paper" combines elements of funk, hip-hop, and jazz, with its accompanying visuals being a highlight in Blinky's visual career.
Notable collaborations include "Constant K" with Fuse ODG, merging Afrobeats with Nairobi vibes, and "Compare" with GoldLink, born from a serendipitous meeting in Nairobi before the onset of COVID.

Six years in the making, 'We Cut Keys 2' was meticulously mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Commissioner Gordon, known for his work with Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, and Damian Marley. Tony Dawsey, renowned for mastering albums like Jay-Z's 'Black Album' and Whitney Houston's 'My Love Is Your Love,' handled the mastering.
A deliberate effort to push the boundaries of African sounds, 'We Cut Keys 2' is a carefully crafted musical experience. Indulge yourself in this box of musical chocolates, designed with the listener in mind. Treat yourself to 'We Cut Keys 2.' now on streaming sites.
