The 3-hour music fest also saw Michelle Obama fangirling in the comments section, requesting Badu's hit "Green Eyes."The soul sisters each played at least 10 songs of their choice resulting to a draw in which most described as a cultural win. The Verzuz series is a project by Swiss Beatz and Timbaland where music icons battle it out, entertaining fans during quarantine. T-Pain and Lil John, music producers Scott Storch and Mannie Fresh, Teddy Riley and Babyface have previously featured on the battle series.
If there's anything to take from this Jill Scott and Erykah Badu battle - Queens see Queens and fear no competition.
The compliments, love and encouragement they showed one another was so graceful.

Tyra Banks Apologizes for Old Problematic 'ANTM' Clips
Tyra Banks has broken silence on insensitive remarks she made in a past "America's Next Top Model" video clip. On Friday, the supermodel issued an apology on Twitter saying, "Been seeing the posts about the insensitivity of some past 'ANTM' moments and I agree with you", adding, "Looking back, those were some really off choices. Appreciate your honest feedback and am sending so much love and virtual hugs".The old clip in question was a 2006 episode where Tyra "advised" one of the show's contestants to have the gap in her front teeth closed, because "it wasn't marketable".

Why should she apologise though. It was just a different time, when people told the truth, and were not so politically correct. Danielle might not have gotten jobs with that gap, and that's that. Now we just walk on eggshells.

There's this weird culture of people trying to find anything and everything to bring someone down. What she said 'ALL THOSE YEARS AGO' was not cute, but what is that compared to everything she's doing for women with regard to body image, confidence, colour positivity etc. STOP IT
