A moment of silence for the musical talent that was James Ingram.
The American singer was announced dead on Tuesday this week. James' close friend and creative partner, Debbie Allen, broke the news on Twitter saying, "I have lost my dearest friend and creative partner James Ingram to the Celestial Choir. He will always be cherished, loved and remembered for his genius, his love of family and his humanity. I am blessed to have been so close. We will forever speak his name."
As fans took to the platform to eulogize the singer, former Kiambu governor William Kabogo tweeted an awkward condolence by mourning another music legend instead - the definitely NOT late, Quincy Jones. Oops!
Ingram's cause of death has not been revealed but speculations are rife that he was suffering from cancer. Here is Debbie's tweet:

Kabogo, who is quite active on Twitter, was not spared by Kenyans on Twitter who immediately noted the error he had made. He deleted the tweet but people were not too eager to let him off that easy, with some suggesting that he should have apologized to Quincy Jones instead of just deleting the tweet. James Ingram is well known for songs such as 'Just Once' and 'I don't have the heart'. He will also be remembered for having co-written Michael Jackson's 'Pretty Young Thing' with Quincy Jones.
