One of the main factors that influence Telenovela's success is the ability for the production team to pick out a good antagonist. A villain role is mostly underestimated but for most part, a good Novela depends on the villain's character because he/she is the one who propels the story by creating conflicts.
Unfortunately, most directors chose to make villains annoying and you end up getting angry every time they come onscreen but fortunately, the production team of The Double Life of Estela Carillo spared us from this predicament with Danilo Cabrera.

Danilo Cabrera is the step brother of Ryan Cabrera and the two have to run their music production company together after their father left them equal shares to the company. Danilo wants to become a music star and now has a chance to market his band with the resources of his company at his disposal. This is however proving hard because the band is not as good as Danilo believes it is and he has had to manipulate some things; including getting his own band mate shot in order to give his band a spotlight.
The character played by Danilo Carrera is full of charm and a certain amount of childish wickedness. His looks, half buttoned shirts and smirk all add to his appeal and one cannot help but smile every time Carrera appears.
