The lead role of Doctor Raul De La Pena in the flight to Victory was supposed to be played by Mexican Singer and actor Pablo Montero. He is best known for Novelas such as Rebecca, Trinfo Del Amor, My Heart is yours and Lo Imperdonable.
Pablo Montero had already started filming with the of the cast when he got fired by the show's producer, Nathalie Lartilleux for indiscipline. The producer accused Montero of missing casting calls and arriving on set drunk hence revoking the terms of contract. Pablo Montero however denied this and said that he was sorry to be dismissed from a project that was dear to him.

Pablo Montero was promptly replaced by Andres Palacios and he seemed to have filled in those shoes perfectly.
