Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced that a select number of restaurants operating in the city will be allowed to offer dine-in services if they put into place strict, protective measures to protect employees and patrons.These include placing signs at entrances saying patrons can't enter if they have symptoms of COVID-19, screening customers for fever at the entrance, limiting occupancy, implementing heavy sanitation routines, and spacing employee work stations. Staff are also supposed to be tested regularly. Restaurant operating hours have been extended to 7:30 PM as of June 16th.The burden on restaurants is very high and many are facing serious challenges to re-open, so, for now, the number is limited.
