Stefano was finally able to build a family with Adelle and her son, Andrei. They faced a few obstacles with the disapproval of Isabel, Stefano's mother, so they decided to get married even without her approval. They were happy together but their perfect life crumbled once Stefano was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. Knowing his days were numbered, Stefano decided to makes amends with his mother and requested that they all live under one roof as a complete family, including his estranged brother Nikolai. The unusual arrangement also included his baby mama, Kelly, and their son, Gideon.

Unfortunately, Stefano ended up succumbing to the disease, leaving his family alone. Since he was the only person keeping them together, a lot of conflicts arose within the house after his death. Isabel constantly fought with her because of how she handled Stefano's funeral. She also fought with Kelly, who wants her son to be the only family heir. Adelle therefore decided to leave with her son and return home to her family but she found out that she was pregnant! Isabel begged her to stay and work things out, just like how Stefano wanted.
