40 Sticks is the latest Kenyan film to premiere on Netflix. The movie is centered on a group of death row prisoners who are trapped inside a crashed prison bus. They are fighting for survival when they realise there is a mysterious killer stalking them in the shadows.
Filmed in Nairobi in 2019, the movie has been scripted in Sheng, Kiswahili and English.The thriller is directed by Victor Gatonye who has previously directed Dreamchild (Kenyan feature film), Kina (TV series on Maisha Magic plus), Sunrise (TV series on Showmax), East and Women of Obiero (both TV films on Showmax).
40 sticks has a stellar cast that includes:  Robert Ageng'o, Cajetan Boy, Mwaura Bilal, Arabron Nyyneque and Xavier Ywaya.
The show boasts 13 nominations in the recently announced Kalasha Awards 2020 nominations and will be available in Africa, US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
