In the Azawak region of Niger lies the village Tatiste where 12 year old Houlaye lives and travels several kilometers each day to fetch water.  There is a severe lack of water and villagers start a discussion on the impact of climate change on the village.
Snippets from  the Above Water  documentary show how climate change leads to regions becoming uninhabitable. Big changes have come and residents are hard hit.
The teacher of the school also puts his finger on the sore spot. The rich and therefore western countries are the ones bearing the most responsibility for climate change, but a village like Tatiste is the first one who has to deal with the problems arising.
The village then gets together to construct a well. This is the promise of a new life for people who have literally been walking on water since birth. See human resilience in action by getting your tickets from  KenyaBuzz.
