Be careful with my heart is a Filipino Teleserye from 2012 and produced by the Kapamilya network, ABSCBN. The show stars Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap as the lead characters; supported by Janella Salvador, Jerome Ponce and Mutya Orquia.
The serye follows the story of a young woman called Maya who lives with her family in the province. She hopes to be an air hostess but she is unable to finish her Diploma because she has to take care of her family. Her older sister Kute gets into an accident and Maya is forced to accept a job abroad to support the family.
Unfortunately, the job to Dubai turns out to be hoax and Maya is stranded in Manila. She is lucky enough to get a job at the airport as a janitress where she meets Sir Richard Lim; the owner of an airline. The two get off on the wrong foot after Mr. Lim accuses Maya of trying to kidnap his mute daughter Abigail. He soon realizes that Maya only saves his daughter and hires her to be the nanny of his mute daughter. Maya asks Mr. Lim to help her finish her Diploma as a condition for her to accept the job and he agrees to give her a two-year contract. And so ensues the story of Maya, Mr. Lim and his three children…
