Award winning artist Eric Wainaina is set to officially launch his fourth studio album, 'Dreams in Stereo' on the 27th of July at The Elephant from 7pm. On the album, Eric has collaborated with local artists such as Kagwe Mungai, Kendi Ngonge, John Nzenze, Aaron Rimbui, Allan Wanjohi, Marvin Maveke and Benjamin Kaveseke Masinda.
Dreams in Stereo picks up from where Love+Protest left off and echoes where I have been- artistically speaking," says Eric. "But at the same time it is an even more personal and intimate album in many ways, where I felt freer to just be myself. It also explores a wide range of musical genres that are close to my heart. It definitely puts me on a new trajectory musically and creatively, and you'll be seeing a lot more of this new direction in the months to come...in a way like you've never seen me. Stay tuned for a lot more to come."
In the album, he draws influences from Black Gospel, Blues, Soul, Funk and Reggae. Three singles off the album- Okay, Don't Bury Me (ft. John Nzenze and Blinky Bill) and Hallelujah People are available on Songa, Boomplay and iTunes.
Eric Wainaina is best known for his songs Daima and Nchi ya Kitu Kidogo.
