Dance Centre Kenya just announced their new term dates for the year 2022/23. The new term begins 5th September and ends 10th December. With half term running from 17th-22nd October.
Ballet students in RAD classes who have taken exams are now moving up to the next level. For students who joined DCK after the last exams, please see below RAD Recommended Minimum Ages:
Pre-Primary - 5 years
Primary - 6 years
Grade 1 up to Grade 5 - 7 years +
It is required for students who are in GRADE 1 and above to take ballet twice a week, so that they can be well prepared when it is time for the exams.
Also, DCK is encouraging all pointe students to not only take the two ballet classes a week but also two pointe classes when possible and highly recommend that the vocational students make the effort to take classes like Gold Musical Theatre and Tap to broaden their training.
It is required for students who are in LEVEL 4 gymnastics to take gymnastics twice a week and for the other levels this is also strongly recommended. They are planning more gymnastics activities this coming school year. It will be mandatory to purchase specific gymnastics attire for the gymnastics classes, we will inform you about this closer to time.
A special gymnastics class for boys who are between 4 and 10 years old - Friday afternoons at the Lavington studio from 4:15-5:15pm.
