Alejandro and Sofia fought against all odds to end up together. Sofia had decided to give Miguel a chance so that she could forget Alejandro but they were only together for a short while. Miguel ended up dying since he had a terminal illness but he left all his wealth to Sofia.
With Sofia free again, Alejandro decided that he would try to win her back one more time. He therefore told Isabela that their relationship was over. Isabela had built her hopes up and was devastated when Alejandro broke up with her. She blamed Sofia for everything and hence took it upon herself to get back at Sofia. She brought a gun to Sofia's house but ended up shooting and killing Rebecca who was with Sofia at the time.  Isabela was arrested and sent to prison for the crime.
Meanwhile, Alvaro exposed Eduardo's crimes after he too was arrested. Everyone found out that he followed Eduardo's orders to kill Alejandro. He also revealed that Eduardo was behind Ernesto's death. Eduardo would not relent so he tried to attack Alejandro again but his own mother stopped him with a fatal blow to the head. Eduardo was left confined in the hospital in a vegetative state.
In the end, Alejandro's family apologized to Sofia for having judged her and separated her from Alejandro. They also begged her to give Alejandro another chance so that they could build their family together. What did you think of the finale?
