David's relationship with Luciana continues to suffer more trials as the two of them were forced to break up. This was after Fernanda, David's daughter, found out that the two were dating. Graciela took advantage of the situation by inciting Fernanda so that she would be against her father's new relationship. Fernanda did not take the news well and ended up overdosing on some pills.
When Fernanda was admitted to the hospital, Graciela hired a psychiatrist and paid him to diagnose Fernanda with suicidal tendencies. Although Fernanda claimed that she only took the pills to feel better, the doctor insisted that she wanted to kill herself. He also suggested that Fernanda needed a female figure in her life who would guide her as a mother would. Needless to say, the ideal mother figure he hinted at was Graciela.
With David's children not taking the news of his relationship well, Luciana had no choice but to end things with David. This is because she did not want to be the cause of his sour relationship with his children. Graciela hopes that the breakup will leave the way open for her to win David's affection. Will she succeed?
