A non-exhaustive list that might help those affected by school closures due to coronavirus, compiled by home educators.

1. Khan Academy

Khan academy is especially good for maths and computing for all ages but other subjects at Secondary level. Note this uses the U.S. grade system but it's a most common material.

2. BBC Learning

This site is old and no longer updated but there's still so much available, from language learning to BBC Bitesize for revision. There's no TV licence required except for content on BBC iPlayer.

3. Futurelearn

Free to access 100s of courses, you only pay to upgrade if you need a certificate in your name (own account from age 14+ but younger learners can use a parent account).

4. Seneca

Seneca is a great online resource, for those revising at GCSE or A level. It has tons of free revision content but one has to pay to access to higher-level material.

5. Openlearn

Free taster courses aimed at those considering Open University but everyone can access it. It's primarily adult level, but some e.g. nature and environment courses could well be of interest to young people.

Learn computer programming skills - fun and free.

7. Scratch

Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century.  It's all about creative computer programming.

Learn languages for free. Web or app. Students earn points for correct answers, race against the clock, and level up.
