ARV Donation Meant for Kenya Shipped to West Africa Over Tax Demand?
USAid's donation worth $35 million of ARVs were redirected to West Africa from the port of Mombasa in October,2019. This was after the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) demanded taxes on the shipment, a cost neither the US Embassy in Nairobi nor the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) was willing to part with. Netizens expressed their frustration on Twitter following this discovery. The ARV drugs were to benefit 900,000 of the 1.6 million Kenyans living with AIDS. KEMSA has since allegedly announced a tender for the supply of ARVs.It's only the second day of 2020; and here in Kenya;

ARVs were donated to Kenya freely by Donors & KRA with the Kumira kumira mind that they have ,demanded that they should be taxed before being offloaded . Guess what happened? They were shipped to West Africa. This is exactly how you complete a Journey. This should make you angry.
