David the Student Accosted with Racial Insults
David Kangogo, popularly known as David the Student, is making headlines in the US for claiming to be a victim of a series of racist remarks. The former "Churchill Show" comedian who currently works at Lyft, a US-based taxi-hailing company, recently confirmed in an interview to have been insulted by a customer after confronting him about wearing a mask. David said that he picked up a couple from an entertainment joint last week. Shortly into the ride, the man took off his face mask and refused to put it back on despite numerous pleas.According to him, he proceeded to end the ride, kicked the couple out of the car and that is when the racial slurs began. "He ignored me the first time, I repeated [it] and told him he's putting me at risk and all the other passengers I pick up after him. So I just pulled over and got out of the car and told them I have cancelled the ride, they can go ahead and get another drive," said David. In the video, the man is heard saying, "You're a f*** sand n**. F*** you," adding, "Here hold on, I'll feel better when I piss in here. Let me piss in your car."
Lyft has since issued a statement via Twitter saying, "There is no place for discrimination of any sort in the Lyft community, and this behavior is unacceptable." The taxi service has further "permanently removed the rider from the Lyft community and are in touch with the driver [David] to offer our support."
The rider has also issued an apology following his employment termination, "I should have never said the things I said nor acted like a complete idiot. He didn't deserve that. Nobody does. I had too much to drink and lost control of my tongue and I said horrible things that I truly regret." Check out the video clip below.

Haiya David the Student left the industry to go try something else abroad. Sickening how the entertainment industry fails so many people who give it their all. https://t.co/dUWEEdFFP6
