Sarova Hotel Ridiculed for Choice of Meal Provision to Medics
Sarova Hotel has been the subject of online ridicule, reason being; delivering "githeri" and rice meal to healthcare workers. On Thursday, the 5-star hotel provided meals to numerous front-line workers at the Kenyatta National Hospital to show its support amid the coronavirus pandemic. Netizens however got wind of the meal content, most choosing to overlook the deed and instead focused on why a high class restaurant "could not provide better". The hotel said that it will be providing different balance-dieted meals to medics in the next 30 days.Here are some of the reactions;
The only mistake Sarova did ,is failure to include Avocado. Anyway it was a sumptuous meal #40billion pic.twitter.com/deYqiZpCMa

Sarova Hotels donated food to the frontline medics at KNH.

The medics and other frontline workers refused to be part of the mediocrity.
See the photo ops and what the contents were. Food was said to be smelling rotten.
Medics have refused to consume the food. CROOKS pic.twitter.com/a5BAsaTNQw
To the people bashing Sarova for their good deed, what have you done even for a homeless person since this pandemic became a reality?. Ama ni Twitter fingers tu? Smh

Sarova Hotel jumped in the bandwagon but really, Githeri na waru like prisoners food? Sarova of all the places? SMH! The food served at KNH for staff and patients is better.

Meanwhile, their donation was rejected by staff of KNH. pic.twitter.com/ZwgvUtpXqs
Sarova Hotel is doing something great. I don't know what people are seeing wrong with that food. Feeding healthcare givers for 30 days is an amazing initiative. Wonder what people expected... Burgers? Businesses are affected and they have given what they can. What have you given?
