Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture is a famous piece of classical music composed by Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1880 to celebrate Russia's victory over Napoleon's army in 1812. The piece begins calmly but gradually builds to an intense and triumphant finale. It features loud, powerful music, with real cannon sounds and church bells to evoke the excitement of battle and victory.

The Orchestra will perform on Saturday, November 16, at 6:30 PM, and Sunday, November 17, at 3:00 PM, at Sabis International School in Runda. Under the direction of conductor Levi Wataka and concertmaster David Ralak, this concert will feature a selection of classical masterpieces in Nairobi!

The orchestra program includes musical gems from well-celebrated composers as follows:
Grieg - Peer Gynt Suite No. 1
Stravinsky - Suite for Small Orchestra No. 2
Haydn - Symphony No. 103
Strauss - The Blue Danube
TCHAIKOVSKY - 1812 Overture

A special guest performance by Sauti za Viola will conclude the show with the performance of Mendelssohn's Adagio from String Sinfonia VII. Tickets are priced at KSH 1,500 for adults and KSH 1,000 for concessions (for children and students). Don't miss this opportunity to experience these classical masterpieces live!
