The GQ Experience that kicked off last Friday April 20th at the Kenya National Theatre had adrenaline and energy. 3 separate groups joined forces to give us the best dance performance ever. The team comprised of only females, Wendy Waeni the young dancer with her amazing stunts was pure perfection. If you have not heard of her yet she is the 12 year old who is skilled in gymnastics and dance. Yes she lit the stage on fire with her opening performance which left everyone in awe.
Miss Kuria and her team did not disappoint at all. The grand piano just gave me life. The entire group combined was definitely a show stopper. The costumes were well created, with every performance we got to see a different outfit. The epitome of the event was seeing one of the dancers who was pregnant bringing art to a whole new level. I won't lie as much as it was amazing I broke a sweat every time she was on stage at the thought of someone missing a step and bumping into her, but thank God that wasn't the case because they were all in sink.
And then there was the choreography. With Edu OOro as the choreographer you would expect nothing less of aptness. If you don't know him you might remember him from Tusker Project Fame as judge Edu. I think it is safe to say he was impressed by their performance as were we because they got a standing ovation after it all and the turnout was notable. You wouldn't want to miss out on their upcoming events.
