Kenyan revelers who attended American vocal harmony group Boys II men concert took to social media to air their dissatisfaction of the concert and how it didn't meet their expectations.
The American group which consists of Shawn Stockman, Wanya Morris and Nathan Morris jetted into the country and performed at their sold out Stanbic Yetu Festival concert which was held at the iconic Uhuru Gardens.
To attend the event, you needed 30,000/= for a VVIP ticket, 15,000/= for a VIP ticket and for regular you only needed to part with 8,000/=!  Many revelers hoped the event would be a masterpiece and one of the best in the country but left dissatisfied and aired their frustrations on social media, especially twitter.
One reveler who had secured themself a regular ticket complained of being rained on and also the screen on which they were viewing performances breaking just when Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol had stepped on stage. They had to shout for the technical team to step in and bringing it down for repair but it wasn't repaired in time for Sauti Sol's performance. There were also no seats at the regular side and the revelers had to stand throughout the entire event.
Another twitter user complained of the excessive provision of sofas in the VIP section which resulted in a lack of space behind for the regular revelers.
Another one raised concern over the sound quality suggesting that the sound set up seemed inadequate and questioned if there was proper planning and sound checks done prior to the event.
A twitter user by the name Rama@mdanganyika2 termed the event as daylight robbery and wanted to be refunded his money back.
The Consumers Federation of Kenya (COFEK), also through its twitter account, announced that there will be a class action suit against the organizers of the festival for short changing Kenyans. They have set up a platform where all those who attended the event can register their formal complaints.
