Filipina actress, Liza Soberano is set to star on the fourth season of Korean Variety show, "Hwaiting". She will be joined by Korean celebrities Eric Nam, The Boyz's Kevin and Jacob, ASTRO's Jinjin, and former Momoland member Nancy.
The actress made her name through Filipino dramas as part of a love team with real-life partner, Enrique Gil. The tandem starred in various series such as Forevermore, Dolce Amore and Bagani. She however left her management company after a decade, choosing to join fellow actor, James Reid in his new agency, Careless.
She cited wanting to find a different direction for her career since at 25, she was now old enough to decide for herself.
"Since I was 16, I had only really worked side by side with one main co-star, with the same production company, rotating around the same three directors. During all those years, I was never really asked for my input, my thoughts, my ideas… I finally started to explore a world of being able to create and tell my story…
" she said.
Since then, Liza Soberano has been trying to get into Hollywood and getting involved in the South Korean entertainment industry. The young star is riding the Hallyu wave and making a name for herself as an international artist. Being a variety show with games, banter, and competition, Hwaiting will open a new opportunity for Liza and the new cast members to form an entertaining dynamic.
