The annual Kenyan read-a-thon is set to kick off this April. Organizers have curated a collection spanning decades of published works, aiming to showcase the evolution of Kenyan literature to a global audience.
Over the years, it has been a month-long reading marathon in September dedicated to promoting Kenyan literary works. This year, the event aims to shine a spotlight on the rich tapestry of published works from various decades, showcasing the evolution of Kenyan literature over the years.
The primary celebration for the Kenyan Readathon is scheduled for September 14th at the Alliance Française Multimedia Library, offering readers a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the literary gems that have placed Kenya on the international reading charts. Each month leading up to September will focus on a specific decade, starting with the 60s this April and culminating with the present texts in September.
