Filipino stars, Kathryn Bernado and Alden Richards are set to reunite for the sequel of their 2019 movie, Hello, Love, Goodbye. The tandem will reprise their roles as Joy and Ethan in the sequel titled, "Hello, Love, Again."
In 'Hello, Love, Goodbye, Ethan and Joy are Filipino workers abroad who meet each other in Hong Kong. Ethan works as a bartender while Joy is a domestic helper.  Being far away from home, they seek solace in each other and eventually fall in love. Unfortunately, their relationship is cut short because Joy has already made the decision to become a nurse in Canada since the primary bread winner for her family.  The sequel for the movie will be set 5 years later when the two reunite in Canada.
"We thought we already said our goodbyes, but here we are, saying our hellos…" Kathryn said during the official announcement of the movie. Cathy Garcia-Sampana will also return to direct the sequel.
Released in 2019, Hello, Love, Goodbye, marked Bernardo and Richards' first project together. The film raked in millions in revenue, and was the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time until it was surpassed by Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera's "Rewind" in January 2024. Kathryn and Alden hope to take over the top spot with Hello, Love, Again, which is set for release in November 2024.
