Filipino actor Gerald Anderson is once again in the spotlight after confirming his relationship with actress Julia Barretto. He dated Bea Alonzo for three years but things went sour between them in a highly-publicized breakup back in 2019. Gerald and Julia started in the movie Between Maybes when Gerald was dating Alonzo and their involvement sparked cheating rumors.  Alonzo accused Gerald Anderson of ghosting her and sighted Julia Barretto as the involved third party, making it one of the biggest showbiz controversies of the year. At the time, Julia Barretto had also parted ways with Now and Forever co-star Joshua Garcia.
During the controversy, Julia Barretto denied any involvement with Gerald. Early this month though, Gerald Anderson finally confirmed his relationship with Julia Barretto in an interview with talk show host Boy Abunda, adding that he was very happy. He also talked about his situation with Bea Alonzo, saying that their relationship had turned toxic, hence why it was better to end it.
