The weekend is fast approaching and you're probably looking for something to do with your friends.Forget the cliché lunch plans and try out these outdoor activities for a change:
1. Paintballing
A version of the police and robber game we all loved as kids. Dress in overalls and protective gear and 'shoot' at each other. It's a fun activity to engage in with friends and is definitely for the competitive lot. Paint Ball Fury in Karen (Purdy Arms), GP Karting in Langata, and Shooters Haven on Thika Road (adjacent to USIU) are some of the best paintballing places for groups.
2. Cycling in Karura Forest
This is for the sporty bunch who are looking to have a chilled weekend as they cycle through the beautiful forest. You can choose the number of kilometers you want to cover depending on your preferred intensity level. The bicycles are hired out at a fee of Ksh.500 for two hours which you can extend on request. The scenery is perfect and the fresh air is calming. Afterwards, you and your team can enjoy a meal at the exquisite River Café that overlooks the forest.
3. Nature Trail in Sam Buru
This is perfect for those who are looking to have a picnic as they overlook a streaming river. What's more, you can opt to take a boat to a mini-island within the same venue and enjoy the breathtaking view from there. It is located Off Hill Crest Road in Karen.
4. GP Karting
Are you an adrenalin lover? Then GP Karting is just what you need to try out. The races go for 10 minutes or you can choose to split it to 5 minutes each with a break. It's located on Carnivore Road and charges as follows: 5-8 Years at Ksh.900; 9-12 Years at Ksh.1,000; 13-16 Years at Ksh.1,100; 17-Adults at Ksh 1,300.
