Jesus was able to find evidence against Augusto for his illegal activities. Augusto had been looking for the papers in the Garage after Jesus bought it, but he never found them. With the evidence, Jesus hoped to expose Augusto's corrupt ways and finally seek justice for his father's death. This also presented him an opportunity to break up with Carlota so that he could start a new with Mariluz, the woman he truly loves.
Jesus had managed to hinder Augusto's plans to steal land from the other farmers, just as he had done with his father. He helped them pay back the money they owed Augusto so his plans to get the land due to the unpaid debt were ruined. Augusto recognized it as the plan of Octavio's sons who were planning their revenge against him. He ordered Federico to find them and their mother so that he could stop them from messing up his plans.
Jesus overheard this conversation and realized that Augusto would never stop going after them. He therefore decided that they would continue with their plans of revenge.  He ended up giving Augusto the papers he had found, as a way of earning his trust. This will also make Augusto reduce his suspicions against Jesus and his brothers. What plans will Jesus make against Augusto next?
