"CATS" is a musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, based on T. S. Eliot's 1939 poetry collection "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats." It's one of the longest-running shows in Broadway history. Premiering at the New London Theatre in 1981, it ran for 21 years with nearly 9,000 performances!
The Broadway version won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and ran for 18 years. Since its premiere, "CATS" has been performed worldwide in many languages, continuing to attract millions of viewers.
CATS is making its debut in Kenya next month from June 7th-June 9th 2024 at Brookhouse International School Karen campus theatre. This groundbreaking production will feature live music by the Dance Centre Kenya (DCK) Orchestra, conducted by Levi Wataka.
