"CATS" is a musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, based on T. S. Eliot's 1939 poetry collection "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats." It's one of the longest-running shows in Broadway history. Premiering at the New London Theatre in 1981, it ran for 21 years with nearly 9,000 performances! The Broadway version won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and ran for 18 years.
