Afrocritik, a media outlet focusing on African entertainment, arts, culture, and lifestyle, has announced its inaugural Prize for Criticism in celebration of its third anniversary.
The prize aims to encourage critical thinking, particularly among young Africans, and will focus on reviewing books by contemporary African writers.
The top prize is $300, with a total prize pool of $600. Applicants must be between 17 and 24 years old, African citizens residing in Africa, and submit reviews of three specified books.
