Creatives Garage presents Blooms in the Dark, a theatrical adaptation of award winning creative and human rights activist Thayù's podcast. This anthology features stories from characters on society's fringes, exploring themes like sex, governance, religion, and traditional culture.
 It questions African identity, inclusivity, and leadership. The audience witnesses the struggles and triumphs of these individuals through acting, poetry, music, and dance, depicting the quest for belonging in various forms.
The performance, by an award-winning all-female crew, is written by Thayù, directed by Thayù and Wanjiku Mwawuganga, produced by Hellen Masido, and stage managed by Chadota. The cast includes Muthoni Gathecha, Riki Gathariki, Tana Gachoka, Koome Kinoti, Joseph Obel, Brian Njonge, Njeri Gakuo, Seise Bagbo, Rian Msani, and Faith Rose. Watch it at Braeburn Theater, Gitanga Road, on 13th July 2024.
