Debbie Ocean (played by Sandra Bullock) has a plan but you won't know of the plan until you go see the movie. As you wait for our honest review (we promise, we won't show Rihanna too much love), there are a few things you should know about this all-female cast hit.
  1. The budget was $70m
If the budget was that low, how could they afford to buy Daphne Kluger's (played by Anne Hathaway) necklace valued at $150million? I'm just messing. The movie has made over $170million for its opening week and the numbers are still going up.
  1. Kim Kardashian's interesting cameo
So, Kim makes an appearance in a movie about jewellery heist not forgetting that a few years back her jewellery was stolen while at a hotel in Paris. What are the odds! She's a bold woman I should say. I wouldn't want to appear in anything that reminds me of something bad.
  1. The diamond necklace has a name
I mean, duh! The diamond necklace that Daphne wears was created by world-renown jewellery house, Cartier. It's called the Jeanne Toussaint. Now you know!
  1. The movie was filmed in New York
Yes. That included the Metropolitan Museum of Art, at Vogue magazine headquarters, as well as the Cartier Mansion. The other scenes are in around New York's Manhattan suburb and other parts of the city; the less famous spots.
  1. Filming began in 2016
Wow. It has been a long time in coming, right? I guess they were getting rights to film in certain areas as well as getting the cast together. It's not easy having such big stars work together on such a huge project.
  1. It premiered in a splashy event in Nigeria
If you haven't already seen the pictures, then let us be the first to tell you. Ocean's 8 premiered in Lagos on June 18th and oh did Nigerian celebrities come out in style. If there was an Ocean's 8 Africa, we know who would take the crown.

  1. Amy Winehouse's is featured
The award-winning musician who died a few years ago but still celebrated for her music has been featured. One of her songs, Me and Mr Jones, is featured as one of the official soundtracks of the movie.
  1. It's in Kenya
