Fabiola Guajardo set to star in Telemund's new series, La Jefa (The Boss). She has made a name for herself with numerous supporting roles in shows such as Head Over Heels, Passion and Power, My Name is Ramon and The Rich Also Cry. This will be her debut as a leading lady and Iván Arana will join her as the leading man for the project.
La Jefa revolves around Gloria Guzmán, a woman who has everything anyone could want. She is a successful professional, a mother, and plans to marry the father of her young son, the commander of the FGE, Juan José Cruz. Their wedding however turns into tragic when a group of hitmen crash the wedding and kill Juan José. Gloria not only loses her great love, but her family turns their back on her, the government seizes all her assets, the media points at her and her husband's enemies pursue her to demand payment for dirty business deals she was unaware of. Gloria thus has to flee without a penny and enters an endless race that will force her to break into the dark world of money laundering to save her son. In her fight to survive, she will be sponsored by big bosses whom she must conquer using the two most dangerous weapons she has: her beauty and her intelligence.
"I am extremely happy and grateful to my Telemundo family for giving me the opportunity to bring to life such an extraordinary and unstoppable character as Gloria Guzmán.
