After our first residency focusing on street photography, the Alliance Française continues to explore little-known cultural fields in Mombasa... From October 8 to 23, come participate in the Mombasa Dance Encounter. In partnership with Little Theatre club, we will offer you the opportunity to discover contemporary dance with 3 weeks of workshops and performances.
Who our performers are: 3 companies
- from Burundi (Les Enfoirés de Sanoladante – October 8 and 9),
- from Mayotte (Kazyadance – October 14 to 18)
- from the Democratic Republic of Congo (Mot’Art – October 22 and 23).
Joins us for the first show on Wednesday October 9 at 6 p.m. at LTC, Mbaraki Road for the piece “La première danse politique ” choreographed by Josue Mugisha (Burundi). A choreography that exposes the illusion of independence, the body as an archive and the dream of redefining the utopia in an uncertain future. Free entry.
