Inheritance - Ndanu and her mother have travelled upcountry to bury her grandfather, who disowned them when her mother fell pregnant 22 years earlier. At that awkward family reunion, Ndanu meets Kyalo, the village madman, who catapults her into an liminal realm where she comes face to face with Syowia, a seer; she and her grandfather’s ancestor.
