Plot Overview

It’s 1941 in London, and amid the rubble of the Blitz, teen Alice Spencer and her best friend Alfred seek refuge in a London Underground station. Alfred, gravely ill, is quarantined, but Alice offers him an escape: their favorite book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. With nothing but their imaginations, they dive headfirst into a dreamlike journey to Wonderland. As the people around them transform into characters from the story, Alice must confront growing up, loss, and grief — all while navigating the twists of Wonderland's familiar, yet distorted scenes.
